Lovingly cared for by the original owner for 37 years this Camaro Z/28 is in incredible condition, both physically and mechanically. The Chevrolet is powered by its numbers matching "Turbo-Fire" LT1 350 V8, producing a stout 330 horsepower, and is mated to the original Muncie M22 four-speed manual transmission and 3:73 posi-traction rear axle. The finish is its original Mulsanne Blue and is in terrific condition, minus a couple of minor demerits. Inside the cabin resides the original matching blue vinyl interior with high back bucket seats and center console. The Z/28 rides in style with its 15" x 7" rally wheels wrapped in Firestone Wide Oval tires. Rounding out the Z/28 package is the sport suspension with stronger springs as well as the heavy-duty radiator. A treasure trove of documentation includes the original car invoice from June of 1971 as well as the original owner's manual and highly sought-after Chevrolet Protect-o-plate booklet. The car invoice shows the factory installed options that include hide-a-way wipers, center console, special 4-speed transmission, sport steering wheel and, of course, the special Z/28 performance equipment. The dedicated owner even maintained the Camaro registration and insurance cards dating back as far as September 1971! This astonishing level of devotion is evident as each year the owner documented on the insurance papers the nominal annual mileage accrued. Showing under 27K original miles the overall condition of this authentic survivor Camaro is tremendous making it a true time-capsule. This gorgeous Z/28 surely fits the bill of what an American Muscle car should be and is ready for your next cruise-in or car show!
