Sebring Silver. To a Corvette aficionado, it is a color that will be forever linked with such classics as the first Sting Ray racer of 1959 and the legendary 1963 split-window coupe. To celebrate the fourth-generation Corvette's final year of production Chevrolet brought back the Sebring Silver finish and introduced the Collector Edition model that showcased the performance capabilities of the car affectionately named "America's First Sports Car". The Collector Edition is distinguished by its silver paint, chrome Collector emblems, 17-inch, five-spoke aluminum wheels painted silver and wider-profile rear tires, black brake calipers with raised aluminum Corvette lettering and Collector Edition embroidery in the leather seats. This Sebring Silver Convertible was ordered with all the go-even-faster stuff: the high-winding 330-horsepower LT4 version of the 5.7-liter V-8, slick-shifting six-speed ZF manual transmission, and the order-code "F45" selective real-time damping system to tame its track-ready suspension and low-profile 17-inch tires. Included with the roadster is the optional hardtop as well as a host of comfort and convenience options like electronic air conditioning, six-way power driver's seat and the Delco-Bose music system to name a few. This Corvette has been in the Rick Hendrick Heritage Center Collection for many years and is exquisitely preserved with only 659 miles on the odometer. Produced in limited numbers, this convertible is just 1 of 68 LT4 powered Collector Edition Corvettes ever built with the Torch Red interior and had an original sticker price of over $54K. Here is your chance to own a piece of Corvette history for a fraction of the original cost.
